From sketch to proof: We accept documents in almost all standard formats, including Adobe Acrobat 5 (.PDF), Adobe PhotoShop 7, Office XP (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Corel Draw 10, PageMaker 7 & PagePlus 5. We also accept sketches and scanned documents (with proofreader's marks) in .BMP, .WMF, .GIF, .JPG, .PNG, .TIFF, .CGM & other formats. Call for more information on this.
Conversion: We convert all documents to industry-standard formats for you. No need to worry about whether your design will be compatible with other web offset printing centers & service bureaus. We specialize in raster to vector conversion for crisp and clean artwork. Unlike the files produced by our competition, our files can be blown up to arbitrary sizes (including wall and building-size) with no jagged edges!
Scanning: Scanning done with our 2400 dpi color scanner is usually sufficient for most jobs. For an extra charge we can use a color-calibrated drum scanner.
OCR: Optical Character Recognition hasn't caught on the way programmers thought it would. The fact is OCR programs sometimes take a rocket scientist to operate. Luckily we have many rocket scientists at our disposal ready to help you migrate to a truly "paperless office." Are you still paying somebody to type in your records manually? Our OCR service can save you time and money.
Touch-up: The use of PhotoShop can be a mysterious black art. Although there are many new programs on the market that claim to do the job their quality is just not professional. Take advantage of our 20 years of industrial art experience. We can do things like remove red-eye & blemishes, adjust, morph, change color of objects & even create stuff from scratch.
3-D design (ray tracing): Whether you are a video game developer or just somebody who wants a cool-looking logo for your brochure or web site, we can create custom 3-D designs for you. We specialize in scalable textured 3-D structures. The results can be rendered with popular ray tracers for stunning realism. See the LA Style card (above) for an example of ray tracing. Additionally, we can convert USGS DEM and RAW format elevation data. Translation: We make custom maps, terrain maps & virtual scenes. A whole web site could (and probably will) be devoted to our mapping techniques.
Storage: We keep a copy of your design on file for quick reorders unless otherwise specified. For a nominal fee we can supply you with a CD or floppy disk of your artwork or a special internet design folder so you can view or modify your design from anywhere.
